The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
